I want to wish a very happy (late) mother's day to all of the mother's in my life! My mom is my very best friend and I am so blessed and incredibly lucky have had her guiding me all these years! As I'm now becoming a new mother, I hope and pray I am able to become such an amazing mom and that my children and I may experience the close bond and extraordinary relationship that my mom and I have. I love you mom!!
I also want to wish a happy mothers day to my sister and sister in law, my aunts, grandmother, mother-in-law, grandmother-in-law and all of the other mom's and moms to be in my life =)
We had a wonderful mother's day weekend filled with lots of fun and memory-making!!
It's been said (and Dr. Spock's Pregnancy Guide will back me up!!) that the increased hormones during pregnancy may make your skin more sensitive to the sun and increase the chance for sunburn. This, unfortunately, proved to be the case for me this weekend! After only a few hours in the sun, I was incredibly sunburt like never before. I recovered the rest of the weekend and will definitely be stocking up on some heavy SPF ;)
On the baby front, I have still be throwing up some through the weekend, but the all-day nausea and overall ill-feeling seems to have subsided (THANK THE LORD!!) I have also noticed that I am slowly starting to get some energy back! Woohoo!! This week marks the last week in my first trimester and I will officially be in the second trimester on Monday. I am so thankful we've made it this far! We have our 12-week appt. with the midwife tomorrow and will be scheduling the date for our BIG ultrasound. We're very excited and I will update when we return!
